1 check is child safe settings in router
Virgin are terrible at WiFi and those hubs are rubbish at traffic managment. We had the sames issues as you and bought a orbi mesh system all good now. Or you could buy a decent router. There is one in the for sale section I think.
There is never less than 5 gadgets streaming various things in our house with no issues
