I've noticed that channel 4 broadcasts in an encrypted from and a FTA.

What's the point is this ?

ABM Ireland pulls down the encrypted version by default.

FTA 10714mhz
Paid 10234mhz

i think at one stage channel 4 hd might have been encrypted but is now showing in the clear for both, cant remember if i saw c4hd in abm as not looked.

I'm actually seeing this on SD channels.... didn't even look at the HD

I see about 8 channel4 listed after a full blind scan and at least 1 of those is encrypted

doing a full autoscan on 28.2 will show many varients of that channel and others, say itv 1 hd might have 6 listings and some dont work yes its normal.
viewing channels from a bouquet is easier than the all list.

Ya im using a dm500 with openpli

Channel list management is awkward I usually end up editing an E2 ABM channel list and converting it to E1.

I'm trying to source rats bouquets for e1 downloader but can't seem to find it on most forums, dk have it but I have 0 post count and can't download

You have 40 posts, so you should be able to download
Sorry I was wrong, I thought you wrote TK

Cant ever remember the SD variants being encrypted but the HD channels were at one point FTV as opposed to FTA.
FTV = free to view but still required a valid card even a disconnected one.
FTA = free to air. Like the BBC channels.

The same applied the most if not all the CH5 channels and the ITV 2,3,4 channels etc etc. Most of those channels have not been placed on FTA but some do still transmit FTV.
