I have a shitty 10£ cigarette lighter plug in bluetooth thingie that works fine for me taking phone calls, it transmits to a radio frequency you can preset,

it has an aux in , but I never use that function so couldnt comment how good that part is

radio fuse might be gone if losing memory or feed is not live for backup.

    No,
You set a frequency on it then tune your radio in,
    Its an FM transmitter,
The radio in my van doesn't even have BT, I use the BT to connect to my phone, it then puts it through a preset radio channel when I get a call.

you need to connect to the radio mate , otherwise it wont transmit though, you're van wont have bt, but you are using a bt fm transmitter, the gizmo wont have a speaker mate

do you understand how these work?
you plug your mp3 or whatever into the aux port on it, then it transmits to the radio using FM
nothing to do with bluetooth between the device and the radio
the BT is only if you want to connect your phone to it, or, you can plug your phone into the aux if you dont have an mp3 player plugged into it

you set a frequency on the device, then tune one of your radio presets into that frequency,
    thats it,

    you connect via FM
    its an FM radio transmitter
set a frequency on the device,
tune your car radio into that frequency,
whatever is playing through the aux port of the device will be picked up on yopur car RADIO
    nothing to do with bluetooth,
how do you think you receiver radio1.? its not by bluetooth, same principle, just a lot less power transmitter from this device
I cant say it any simpler,
    its an FM transmitter
    it uses your radio receiver,

you cant transmit without being connected to the fooking radio ffs , just leave it mate, you have no idea what you are talking about, ok scenario mate :

    1) i plug in the gizmo
    2) set the frequency on the radio & the gizmo
    3) how do i play it if its not connected to the radio?
HOW DOES IT TRANSMIT? THROUGH BT?

and how do you connect to the radio.?

do you understand what an FM transmitter is.?
its NOTHING to do with bluetooth,
I know very little, but its obviously a LOT more than you,
I have one, and it doesnt use BT to connect to the radio, it uses, wait for it, RADIO waves.!
do you understand what FM is even.?

    no,
I drive a shitty old van with a battered old radio in it,
the bluetooth has nothing to do with how it comes out of the speakers,
bt is ONLY to connect your phone,
it connects to your radio WITHOUT bluetooth,
it uses one of your radio presets,
plug your mp3 into the aux, and use whatever radio preset you want to listen to it.

    BLUETOOTH NOT REQUIRED
