got all the channels on zgemma s2 but wont update

Seems odd. Definitely both tuners setup the same in tuner configuration

You still haven't said what image your using. Menu, information, about if openatv try a software update

Press info again it should say build version:

It looks like an old image it's vix so don't do a software update.

You could try a reflash but you'll need to get your line details first.

Ftp usr/keys for newcamd.list and etc for CCcam.cfg

now that is way over my head mate, I paid a bloke to install this but I an learning fast on here I could do with a memory stick with everything on I can just plug in and start again I think

No you haven't.

First have a good read around the forum this will get you around the terminology http://www.techkings.org/general-satellite-discussion/93169-general-satellite-terminology.html

Once you have taken a backup of your line details choose a backup from the sticky section here Zgemma-star 2S

Have a good read around first before trying anything to get your head around it.
