kryptview flashing

hi there i am having issues flashing my kryptview box, can any1 help, it keeps saying: cant open serial portcom1 and i have tried all ports and am using a null modem cable and have tried it with the box switched off

hi mate i tired doing the cabling and its doing the same thing, any other solutions?

Are you using a rs232 com port on your laptop, if not, and it is a usb to rs232, then it will give you issues m8, find an old laptop with a rs232 com post outlet, and it help a lot, as it has a dedicated com post, so it will connect, if you are flashing the box the correct way

if you have windows 10 the USB to rs232 will not work at all as I have tried that and I have been advised that it will not work so please do not waste your time on this... if you have windows 10

If you have a pci express card slot on your laptop, then go for a pci to serial card, that will work, as it picks up the dedicated port for the card...???

i got the old rs232 cable using on a laptop with windows 7, same error
