$ky broadband box has a amber light when I connect it to my Skybox F5!

Hi everyone

I got a Skybox F5 with a gift but when I connect it to my $ky broadband a amber light comes on and my internet runds really slow.

Can anyone give me some advice please?

Amber light at the router is normal if you are
connected directly between the box and TV with ethernet
cable.

Back of the box will also flash intermittantly even when
on standby.

I have tried watching the paid for channels but its saying scrambled. do you think the issue is with the person who gave me the gift? I cannot connect to the server.
 
Is it saying "offline"

"offline / login"

or "online" ?

When you look at the lines details

Menu - Camds Setup - CCcam Client Setup - Manage Config Files.

Also, check if your DHCP is set to on

Menu - Network Local Settings - Network Settings - Setup
 
my DHCP is set to on, the person said he had programmed everything else. I will have to check again when I get home.

Is it a normal issue about the speed?

The box shouldn't really effect your internet speed
it uses "packets" of data, which are small, but sent regularly,
it is nothing like streaming off the net.
