I would just stick with the buzztv app via Mac tbh and if wanting to use on phone use stb emu pro and just imitate the Mac.
I don’t get why providers gives both out

It works and it's a good app I would pay the few pounds for the full version myself.

I've switched to tivimate from stb emu pro and it's made a difference no more buffering
