Lost sat cable feed

Need a better brain as my zero has lost its sat feed as i have 2 F connections in a wall socket 1 might be Saorview and both dead.

I had another feed coming into kitchen via the front room when i used the joiner and another cable.
I have 5 sat cables not it use and unsure which one of them was for the kitchen feed.

Any ideas how to check a dead cable to see if i can find the end. Might be a dead cable if eaten through as had them connected before when i needed a second tuner.

I can access the cable behind the zero but not identify the one in the main room.

Might a 9v battery work and probe other end for a feed i wonder ?

Do you possess a multimeter? If so put it onto continuity test. Put one test probe on outer part of cable in one room and run a piece of cable from other room with cable attached to outer part of that cable, put this cable to the other lead on the multimeter and if makes a circuit it will sound.

Cable would need to be about 35 foot long in doing this.

But i have a long sat cable and joiner i could bring into front room from kitchen .
