Mag 254 - Custom Firmware Upgrade.

Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help me with the following:

I have bought a Mag 254 from eBay. Works perfectly fine and I am with happy with my current sub. However I am unable to record channels to my local hard drive... my iptv supplier mentioned that developers of mag have blocked this feature. only mag 250 can be used to record channels. I have heard there is a custom firmware for the Mag254 that can unlock this feature.

Can someone please help me out ?

I have 254 and can record because I have two subs from the same provider.

Oh so can I confirm you are using 2 subs to be able to record? Which sub prover are you using?

One thing I don't understand. Why do you need 2 subs in order to record on Mag 254... I thought you can only use 1 portal at a time...
