Makfi upstaged favourite St Nicholas Abbey to become the first French-trained winner of the 2,000 Guineas.

He made good headway to take the lead passing the furlong marker and remained strong to win by a length and a half.
Richard Hannon trained duo Dick Turpin and Canford Cliffs came in second and third with St Nicholas well back.
