I did not have a relaxing Sunday at all. :faint:

Went to my first NFL game with my friends (there was about 18 of us)

I decided to go on a day where the heat is absolutely bizzare..! Well its not that bad but here in Britain it is crazy!

Took around 30 minutes to a pretty much empty park. I did not know it would be as warm as it is today so i decided to go without using any sun lotion. So i came back having sun burnt my shoulders and my arms. :)

I find the game rather exciting, the thought of taking somebody down like they owe you money is epic!

Also got wacked in the head by mistake by the NFL ball because the guy kicking it is a looney but suprisingly it didn't hurt too much, feeling the effects of it now, around an hour after getting back home. Left at 11:50 A.M. Didn't get back till 4 P.M

Legs are in pain, can barely stand on my toes and bruised my right bicep, but i did enjoy it and will be going back next Sunday for more ass kicking!

Other than Gym i never really had a sport that i engaged well in but looks like I found one for time being.

Just need to work on my speed more, this weight training is killing my stamina, and also got to practise attacking my opponents, i wasn't really the agressive type so have alot to work on. ;)

There you have it folks, my first NFL experience, and i live in Britain. :haha:

sorry for only noticing this now Dan, glad you enjoyed yourself, had you an idea of the rules beforehand?, and how did your second and subsequent games go??
A sport like this is a great thing for many reasons, one the camaraderie is very important, the variation of the sprinting, the tackling, etc will do you a great deal of good when mixed with your gym work.
keep it up and most importantly, enjoy

    Thanks wheelo. :)

My plan was to keep it up, and now i have exams to study for . :(

The team that I play with are pretty good but some of the members had other things to do on the Sunday afternoon so last weeks game was cancelled. :)

I lacked a great deal of energy a day or two after the game, guess it takes a while getting used to it. The pitch was pretty big as well. I kept on being thrown at the front to keep the opposition from getting onto our side, one guy had his t shirt ripped by the same dude for two weeks in a row. It was a good game, hopefully I can get in one more game before August. Its the the fasting month then so going to be without food for 15-16 hours every day for the entire month. :faint:

Got to think about how i'll make it to the Gym when the rains going to be constantly pouring and the snow will end up hitting us at anytime. :( My 6 month membership expires right at the beginning of August, just before this i've been making 1 month memberships, going a month, taking the rest of because travelling to Uni was just killing me.

2012 has been quite the year for me. lol

I've been weight training for more than 2 years now and just this May I suffered my first injury, a dislocated right shoulder. I was lifting 30KG dumbells trying to do the shoulder press, my form was spot on, turned out the weight was too heavy and my right shoulder joint ended up coming out of its place. I've been doing shoulder rehab for 2 months now and have been recently discharged from hospital. Recovery has been slow and its a major setback but I guess its just a little bump in the road. I'm back already but limited to what I can do for a while.
