New OpenATV software update (risk message) caused my box to crash

I got stuck in boot with red light so wouldn't recommend anyone to update to new version via the software update panel...

I reflashed to Dsayers which took like an hour to fix ..

The light has been orange for a while now on atv
it does ask you are you sure
so you have to click yes to continue

it it does warn you

Ahhh so the feed should always be Green to go ahead?

That's why it is a traffic light

red it won't let you
orange it will ask if you are sure
green it just does it

its killing me I can't update lol

You need to flash a image that's a been setup from fresh within 2.5 months. It's an issue with opkg that can't be updated with ota updates a reflash is needed I did a image backup Friday.

Updates are fine even though I still get the warning

So are you saying if i use your new backup for OpenATV i can do OTA updates via the box and not have the bootloop issue?

You may be able to do a settings restore I don't bother with restores when reflashing

What do these updates do anyway?

Just standard openatv ota updates. Plus my later images have skins, skyq picons and extra plugins via download plugins and they update via ota updates.
