New to this Skybox Era

Hi Guys, really new to this era, I bought a skybox f5 of a friend a few months ago and now all the channels are scrambled, my friends tell me I need to pay the 100 euro a year to get the channels bk
is there anyway I can bypass paying this guy? like resetting my skybox? or putting new software in?

Any help on this subject would be gratefully accepted.

No mate.You need a server.Youll have to pay regardless.In the general satellite section here youll see(Anyone recommend a good cccam server)Post in there and you will get recommendations cheaper than 100 euro im sure.
