Other O/S Possible to install android as os on windows pc?

Hi is it possible to install android as a fresh os on a hp windows pc? I have tried virtual box but i cant get it to work, so was thinking to wipe windows completley from my spare computer and install android os on there. Has anyone had any sucess?

I have had this working before only problem was the vga output on Android did not work so I could not send it to the TV, this was dual booted with Windows 10 which would output to the TV.

Other than that it worked fine, but god knows what iso I used now?
