Problems with my epg on h2s

Hi all i have a zgemma h2s .just got a new sub but cant seem to get epg working ??
Im running wooshbild infinate prior to this new sub .it was working fine ..my provider send me 2 links
1 a channel list in m3u format
2 a line
As iv used xc pluging before to open my live channels and vod. i requested they send me a script insted so i got the scrip and sent it to box via putty. its loaded the channels but i can only get to them via fav and theres no epg .

Have you setup epg importer . Another way is if you have your m3u url and your epg url you can use suls plugin (E2m3u2bouquet) from the plugins menu.

To setup epg importer (make sure you set your epg to save to your hdd or usb stick and not internal flash)

Go to epg import and use the following settings

Automatic import epg - Enabled
Start time - any time
When in deep standby - wake up and import
return to deep standby after import - yes
Start import after booting - always

Press green to save

Then press blue and tick all the Rytec uk sources and the Virgin uk sources and your providers name

Press green to save and then yellow to do a manual import.

This is a rough guide to set up iptv bouquet maker E2m3u if you need it

First download and install open atv 6.2 for your box (or an image of your choice )and then install suls plugin (IPTV bouquet maker). You can also install epg importer, epg refresh, cache flush,e2i player or any other plugins you need.If also using satellite channels you will need to install autobouquet maker to scan for these channels.Or use an image like Wooshbuild Infinity which has everything you need.

Menu/plugins/iptv bouquet maker

Click on providers

Name:enter any name here

Delete:no

Enable:yes

Setup mode:expert

M3u url: Enter your m3u url here

EPG URL: Enter your epg url here

Username:enter your username(not essential)

Password:enter your password (not essential)

Multivod:yes

Picons:no

Create all channel selections:yes

All iptv type:enable

Tv stream type:5002

Vod stream type:5002

Check providers bouquet: Enable

Then press green to save and exit

Then Click on create bouquet

Also you can install service app from plugins menu , then reboot box and go to usage and gui settings, select service app and set to ext3 player and save then box will reboot.Seems to run smoother using service app.

With regards to your last reply i have followed your instructions but still no luck ...im running wb infanite ..if i go in fav i have iptv channel list if i click on it i have to search through channels to find a channel to watch ..im sure its a problem when i send line over as when ive done it before it normally shows the bouqets loading up on this one it didnt ..

Are you using Iptv bouquet maker or your old script. Make sure your url's are entered correctly if using Iptv bouquet maker. When you click create bouquet you will just see a spinning circle for probably a minute or so. If not your details are probably not entered correctly.

On your computer, open the m3u file they sent you with notepad, or better still notepad++ (install it)

Your two top lines will look something like the below. I have made the important parts as bold

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="bbc1.uk" tvg-name="UK | BBC ONE FHD" tvg-logo="http://xxxxxxxxxxxxx/channel_icons/BBC 1 London.png" group-title="UK | FREEVIEW",UK | BBC ONE FHD
http://servername:port/live/username/password/27019.ts

From this you can get the details and make your own URL and EPG URL and use Suls plugin.

M3U URL: http://servername:port/get.php?username=username&password=password&type=m3u_plus&output=ts
EPG URL: http://servername:port/xmltv.php?username=username&password=password

When pasted into a browser on your computer the M3U url should should download your M3U file and the EPG url will show you a load of EPG stuff and maybe timeout too (this is normal on some browsers)

Hope that helps.

Edit:
Thinking about it, if you have a command they sent you for putty (telnet), you can see the server address, username and password in that. Then just use those details to make the above URLs work.

It depends on how the provider works, some use XC, other's don't. Some know what they are doing, others don't, it looks like with receiving an M3U file that your new provider doesn't

I have told you how to get the info you need to use Sul's plugin from your M3U file or URL for the putty command

I can get my epg to work no problem at all it’s keeping it working that’s the hard bit as soon as it updates or the box gets switched off
It’s gone and the only way to get it back is to delete sulls bouquet maker and epg importer and then use putty to put my providers details back on but then next day gone again

Make sure your epg is saving to your usb or hdd drive and not internal flash as that could be your problem. Menu/setup/epg/settings and set epg location to your usb or hdd and green to save.

Don’t think it’s my provider because the epg is working on every other device that it’s setup on think it’s a problem with the bouquet maker

Also check in the epg settings, below where you select your drivethat it set to save . Could be a provider issue but Have you entered your epg url correctly. as wooshman posted and entering your servername port, and your username and password after the =
http://servername:port/xmltv.php?username=username&password=password
