The putty alternative on a Mac is called terminal.
Open it up.
Type in nc 192.168.?.? 23. (? Means your box ip). Press enter
Then type in user name which is normally root. Press enter.
If you have a password on your box you will be prompted for it. If not you are ready to go.
Not sure what the script is. This instructions in my last post is the Mac version of telnet.
If you need to drop the file into the box then download filezilla for Mac.
This is straight forward.
Open FileZilla. Put your IP address in the box at the top. Type in user name root. Press connect.
On the left you will see all the box files.
