ret 2011 error

Hello everyone. I am brand new to the whole Wii softmod thing so I will try to be precise about what is going on.

I ran downgradeIOS35.dol just fine. Then installed IOS35.wad just fine. When trying to install CIOSv7.wad i get the ERROR (ret-2011)

What do I do from here?
 
Skrewz,try a network install of ios35 or use the nus downloader to get the latest ios35.wad

I havent used CioSV7 so i wont be to much help to you,you may have to look at what wad manager you are using,if its 1.4 try 1.5
If you can post where you are at as in system firmware and what you have running on your wii and what guide you used,i will be able to help you more

7th i cant believe you have'nt done it yet,if your fimware is below 4.2 the guide above will have you sorted in around 10 mins.
Skrewz,configurable loader and uloader are the 2 i use,uloader would nearly do all on its own but i only use it for music games with instruments and some games config wont play like monster tri,config will give you a 3d image of your cover and allows for altdol loading and a few other nice features,you can put your iso onto a usb stick or external hdd.

You will need wbfs manager on your pc
Wiu1:1 for patching updates and region patching your iso,also for your pc
google will get those 2 for you,
in the wii forum here you will also find ciosrev 17
you are probably on 14 from that guide,update to that it gives more game compatibility,

I know. You'd think i already would have had it modded. Everything else is (with the exception of the ps3) lol The wifey told me i wasn't allowed to hack it until the manufacturer's warranty period was up. *rolls eyes* I don't think i'll make it that long. :cheesy grin:
 
It is well worth your while 7th, the process is easy to follow, I did my nephew's 5 or 6 days after Santa visited, thats how confident i was(y), and besides, you always have sinno knocking around for help, Who knows, I might even be able to help you out.

Got it hacked, then backed up Mario Party 8 to a disc. Sure enough, i've got the chipset that won't play dvds, so i'm off to follow the USB loader method. Thanks for all the information you chaps keep up with in here. Made my trip a little easier.

BTW, i followed the 4.1u guide as well as that's what my Wii had. Had her done in 10 minutes; now to get some games loaded up. :cheesy grin:

Not at all 7th. Besides, even if you were hijacking my thread; who would I report it to? :bang head: Just kidding. LOL
