samsung galaxy S3 running slow

Hi Guys,

Had a S3 for a number of years now still going strong but noticed it really slowing down in the last few months......added SD card a while back so storage is ok
may be the RAM im always having to clear down close down things to get down the little number that shows up on the front screen it is always up about 85 or higher
anything i can do do boost this?

cheers new to this section ....
 
Also if i decide to buy a newer model of samsung thinking of S5 unlocked ( i have a good sim only deal)
where would people suggest?

If it's still going strong, why not backup all photos, music, etc. then reset to factory settings. If it's still slow, then it's the phone itself

As for where to replace a phone, I don't think there's much of a difference.

Yep, reset can speed up
 
You need free some space, just clean the junk files with cleaner tool, and move large files to computer
