Ok soo I'm not to familiar when I comes to fitting things my brother does most of it. So basically my brother is going to run the two cables into my room for the open box but we're not sure what type of coax we need because there's so many types also there are two cables coming from sky dish a white one and a black one what are they both used for?

you dont need two cables for a openbox as it is ONLY a single tuner

if there is two cables coming from the sky dish (2 feeds record one watch one )

seems was a old cable and then a later date someone didnt have white cable and used black, or the other way round. no cable to run, but one of the cables in back and see if working

So you already have 2 cables, but need them extended to reach your box?

WF65 cable is probably the most common.

As satmanUK says, you only need 1 cable per box as, unlike sky+ boxes, they only have 1 tuner. If you intend to upgrade to a twin tuner box in the future, it might be worth extending both cables with shotgun cable.

This is the cable I used to wire up my dish:-
