Skybox F5 vs F3 Which one to get ?

Hello All!
I have decided to get one these boxes and was doing some reading up. Seems there is lot of F3 talk in the forum but little or no F5 . Is the F5 a scam or very New ?
Also any one could maybe PM the start up info re the Sea lions & reliable places to turn to

F3,4,5 are basically the same in terms of function.

HD,PVR, now and next EPG etc

They just have different style cases really.

F5 is smaller and neater but won't do anything
extra. I bought the F5 for that reason.

F3 bigger but cheaper.

You could always post a request for one here skyla normally gets back pretty quick.

Just assume the posts under the F3 section
apply to the F5 too.

hi i use the f3 with no problems the f4 ive not used the diffrence with that is the gps so i dont no what benifits the f5 will offer

They are always in the "sticky" threads at the top of each section.

I see skyla sent you some info. I've got some too if that doesn't
work out. Most people seem to be happy with it though (y)

i bought an f5 last week and must say it's a neat looking box and easy to set up etc.

plugged a 650gb portable hard drive in and can record pause etc now.

i dont know how to get set up with a wireless dongle though so if anyone knows hoe please let me know.

i can certainly say though the f5 is good value for money
 
Yes the f5 looks better but the f3 has usb slot at the front where the f5 is at the back. Being at the front is easier, thats my opinion anyway.
 
only difference is the price for a fancy box dont see the difference really all you are going to do with the box is watch channels on it not like your going to be going to bed with it after lol it dont have blond hair and a 36DD either lol
 
Go straight LAN or Homeplugs
if your router is in another room
and you don't want leads everywhere

There are lots of posts about WiFi
dropping connection.
 
F3s is 1080p whereas F5s is 1080i.

1080p is sharper and clearer and known as "Full HD".

I never knew this info and ended up with F5s though :)
 
1080i ok for me. My telly is "HD Ready" and not Full HD anyways.

A mate has the f5s and I'm impressed with it.


Definitely a better "looker" than the f3.
