Smart IPTV on LG TV's

Hi guys, just asking on behalf of someone who's looking into getting a new LG TV.
I heard samsung have stopped supporting this app. however is LG TV following suit ?

Also, what about SmartSTB ( magbox emulator for smart tvs )

Lg already removed it. Has been removed with latest update.

Will normally be removed when you do the next tv update !
Turn updates off is best bet.
