surround sound ?

Is it possible to connect my zgemma to my surround sound system? On the back of my surround I have an optical socket and on the zgemma there is a SPDIF socket. I have bought a lead that connects the 2 but still cannot get surround sound.

Both are referred to as SPDIF but on the back of your surround system you may have the SPDIF/Optical type (Uses Light to transmit the audio) but on the Zgemma its an SPDIF/Coaxial (uses electricity to pass the audio signal).

Hi

I have been trying to connect my sound system Samsung HT-TZ315 to the Zgemma box h2S with no success.

I have purchased an adapter from Toslink (optical out coaxial in) and made the relevant connections but nothing is happening

can anyone help???

If I have ended up in the wrong location - please re-direct

I am trying to do this as well my zgemma hs2 has an spdif out and the surround sound has an optical cable ..... did anyone solve this ?

why not just connect the surround sound via optical to the TV? then it works if you use the zgemma as well as if you just use the TV for anything

What about the red and white optical leads into zgemma then into surround sound or 3.5mm jack into headphone socket on tv then into surround sound I've got my surround sound done by red and white
