hello my server supplier needs me to telnet a command or patchwix to my box does anyone know how this is done

Use putty.
https://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe

open it up. Type in your boxes ip address. Leave everything else as default.

In cmd window just type your password... root

And before you do anything, out of interest, what command is he asking you to run?
