Thinking of investing in an H2H box.....should I ?

Hi folks,
So basically I got sick of dealing with vm and overseas call centers. I don’t watch sports and my tv has a freesatHD tuners so I had a dish installed..... I don’t miss anything really (the internet provides me with the stuff I need).

So anyway my 7 yr old does miss 1 or 2 things and the tuner in the tv isnt that great in relation to say epg and recording (can live with it) so I thought I’d have a play with a zgemma box....so here’s the questions .......
1) given the tv has a freesat tuner and sly is dead, is there any point buying a combo tuner, if so....why ?
2) getting a cable box isnt really essential but if I do.... is zgemma the best option as it appears there are no single tuner cable zgemma boxes. What are better box options for just cable either single OR twin tuners(if i can be nothered anout recording. Note.... I do not see the point in paying £200+ i’d prefer £100 area max..... but please give feel free to give your input on why a more expensive box could be worth it.
3) so I hear vm has killed HD sports in some areas (I dont care) but can knowledgable folk confirm all other HD channels work like sly movies or cartoon network.

Many thanks for all responses
Regards

All VM channels are still live apart from 8 HD sports channels
all movies and other Hd channels are intact.
You can get a H2h now for around the £50 mark...even though it has a sat tuner in it, it doesn't mean you have to use it

The latest is the Zgemma H9T which is a single tuner box for about £80, I've not used one personally but apparently it's a great box.

a cheaper option is the H52tc which is a newer and faster box than the H2H, and just £65 but it has more tuners than you need, single sat tuner and twin cable.

Sorry but.....
Thanks for an alternative box but the post looks more like an advert from a supplier given you dont actually mention any pros or cons over other boxes. I like factual info from a user of a device/devices......not copy pastes.

I use 2 different xtrend models but much more expensive, sold in germany to rival the vu boxes and can run openvix images.

there are free channels on sat that are not available on vm, ie freesport - also with a line you can still get a number of premium channels on sat so if you have h2h for example then you can still record sat channels and watch cable etc

also some point their dish towards other satelites

Still alot of good channels available on sky, mainly kids cartoons, bt sports sd, eir sports , freesports, lots of others and you can get a decent price for whats left.
