Tsmedia work around?

Not really dude. U can be on a small isp that isnt forced to block like postoffice. Or set up a VPN.
But with kodi a hint is be v v vvv patient. Can take up to a minute for menus. And nearly as long for actually opening a stream. Also if u get black screen at start of movie and u have usb set up, reboot. Seems to empty some kind of cache and get streams/DL content working.
Imho downloading on PC and ftping to box is so much easier. And even then sometimes a reboot is needed for files to play.
