Unexplainable Speeds within Firestick IPTV Eclipse Glass

gillettos

Newbie
Hi all,

I've currently ditched Virgin due to horrific price increase and gone onto Smarty Unlimited data for £16/Month, the sim is in Three 4G+ Router and I getting some very strange behaviours in performance........

At home (through the hub), when I run 'Speed Test' I get an average speed of 64-70mbps d/l and 17 upload, however............

When I enter my IPTV player (Eclipse Glass - sky glass) in built speed test it returns a max of 4.17 and upload of 7!!!

What really puts it to shame is in the local last night, noticed I got 5G on me moby, speed test = 450mbps (70 upload), and againg the glass app came out 7!!!! Madnesss!?!?!?

See screen dumps attached....

Other than changing the player any other ideas???

Cheers :)

Never trust the inbuilt speed tests apps there always way off
But the performance of the IPTV service is now rubbish, buffering like mad, where as with Virgin it was fine.

It's not my provider I have loads of friends using the same and there's is bullet proof.

You are looking in the wrong places, speed tests aren't the way to go.
You need to check whether your isp has nanny settings enabled, or if you need to use a vpn with the new Internet connection

Tried a VPN (IPVanish), that causes it to buffer more.

Whats nanny Settings and where would that be??

Is has to be the router as when tethering of my phone it works fine.....

I don't know where the settings will be, maybe in your online account or possibly in the router settings.
Firstly, you need to reboot the router, leave it powered down for 3-4 minutes and see if its any better

When you said tethering from the phone, do you mean still going through the router or using a different connection?
Can you access the router main settings using a browser? Try ip address 192.168.0.1

When tethering through phone didn't have router, so no.

Yeh Just been in, but not sure what to look at see attached screen shoots.
