Unlocked phone will not take t-mobile sim

Hi,can anyone tell me why an unlocked vodaphone Samsung D900 will not take my contract T-mobile sim.Have tried virgin payg and O2 payg sims and they are ok,is it because it is contract?,thanks

shouldnt make a difference, try a different contract sim or a tmobile PAYG if you can borrow one from someone. or is it because your TMobile sim is locked to your phone? if in doubt go to a carphone warehouse shop and ask them to try as they have sims hanging around for all networks and they can put it in and try it for you

Its probably because the sim card identity is tied to the identity of the phone it came with so that sim will only work on the phone it came in...especially if its on contract.
