Which is easier to download sv7 or a780 and should i use a lap top or pc is there any difference

depends what system you have ( or are going to buy) once you download they all do the same job. Depends on what fittings your box and pc/laptop have and if they marry up so its not a matter of whats easier its a matter of what system and leads you have

Modern laptops don't always have the old type serial connector so you may need to adapt your cable with a USB adapter which can be a bit messy when getting your laptop to recognise which port it's connected to.
