Can someone help me out here please,I try to record and this message pops up?any ideas?

how have you setup the storage devices to record usb and/or hdd?

Ya I've it set to media/HDD now I've formatted another stick,put in box,box recognises it but won't let me initialise it!says I'm in timeshift but I'm not

never used timeshift,recheck settings and is it a usb or hdd,wonder would it be media-usb even though my solo said hdd lol
