This Week - Recovery Tools

As inspired by this thread, I've decided to mention some recovery tools that saved me a couple of times when oops... something important was deleted.

Pandora Recovery

From the makers of the famous CCleaner, Recuva (pronounced "recover") is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses.

Everyone wishes that their computer could be faster, speedier, more responsive... and here are a few tools to do just that.
(Note: This is not the same as Maintenance tools such as disk cleaners and defragmenters. These programs can produce immediate speedup result!)

This program requires no installation; simply run it, a black box pops up, and your computer is magically faster. Even though how it does it is unknown, all that matters is that this program works.

CleanMem

Install it and forget it. This program works faster and better than other RAM-cleaning applications; if it is run, no intrusive windows pop up. In fact, you won't even know it's running until you realize that your free RAM is incredibly high. This programs comes in two forms- an installation package which installs it on your system and lets it run every half an hour, or a standalone file which you can manually run anytime you want.
