Virgin Mobile - Using Orange network coverage

Are you with Virgin Mobile? Every find the lack of coverage extremely annoying? Random connection dropouts? Well you may just be in luck, come this Autumn 2011 VirginMobile will be using the EverythingEverywhere network, this network is formed by Orange and T-Mobile. Since VirginMobile uses the T-Mobile network (& coverage) this means that you'll be able to hop onto the Orange network when signal lacks with T-Mobile.

Virgin Mobile customers enjoy coverage here, there and just about everywhere. We’ve always used the T-Mobile network, which covers over 99% of the UK population, to provide our service. But from this Autumn, we’ll use the Everything Everywhere network (the company formed by Orange and T-Mobile). So, in some areas where the coverage might otherwise dip, you’ll automatically be able to use the Everything Everywhere network at the same great Virgin Mobile rates. Wherever you are, we’ve got you covered.

According to this thread at VM:

It looks like national roaming is set to work on Virgin Mobiles now. "National Roaming" is not yet being rolled out for all, however trials are going on and it will be rolled out soon. You can call Virgin on 789 and ask for "national roaming" to be activated for your mobile, you should then be able to use the Orange network through your Virgin sim.
