2011-10-08 11:22AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> fw is fine, working on forza 4 [Editor's note: c4eva has advised that Forza 4 should not be booted due to new checks and that a fix in LT+ is forthcoming]

[2011-10-12 08:49AM UTC] #c4e <n00b752> Hey guys any updates to how safe this update is?
[2011-10-12 08:49AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> performing a livelog with xgd3 backup, i dont expect anything unusual, more soon!
    [2011-10-12 12:34PM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> nothing unusual, same checks!
[2011-10-12 12:38PM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> forza 4 8.7Gb backup on a normal DL running fine on xbox live with 13604 dash with LT 2.0! more soon! [Editor's note: to clarify, he means that his Forza 4 backup, burned using the in-progress custom PC DVD burner fw, is running fine on LIVE (it allows burning 100% of an XGD3 ISO to regular DVD+R DL). You are still advised not to boot truncated Forza 4 backups on the current LT+ v2.0]
[2011-10-12 12:44PM UTC] #c4e <sukalis> c4eva would you consider updating the dash without going back to stock firmware as safe? LT 2.0 -> Update dash ? Or LT 2.0 -> Stock -> Update dash -> LT 2.0 ? Did you research it?
[2011-10-12 12:51PM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> a locked slim is safe during update, no need to flash to stock

iXtreme LT+ v3.0 is on the way! Yesterday, having revealed to the team an idea for countering the recent dae.bin/AP2.5 update, c4eva has today confirmed that he has in fact completely done away with the need for dae.bin/AP2.5 data. Although it’s early stages, c4eva has successfully completed several tests which validate this new method and classified his solution as the “silver bullet” for AP2.5. Rather than using captured challenge results each time the dae.bin changes, the new method builds a complete set of profile data for each disc and works for all AP2.5 challenges, regardless of how the dae.bin is changed. As a result, the format of backup ISOs will be changing as the AP25 replay sector will no longer be included and the profile data will instead take its place. Though c4eva noted that it will take some development time as it’s not a quick fix, both he and the team will now be putting their full efforts behind bringing this solution to life in the form of new versions of iXtreme LT+, Xbox Backup Creator, and abgx360

Been a while since an update but here it is nonetheless

    [priv msg]

[2012-04-21 06:30AM UTC] <******> did you end up doing a LIVE log for 14719? the update appeared to just be some additional bugfixes over 717, but wasn't sure if anything had changed on the backend (I assume not)
    [2012-04-21 06:33AM UTC] <c4eva> yes, all good
    [2012-04-21 06:34PM UTC] <******> great!

    [2012-04-21 06:13AM UTC] #c4e <Paradine> cool
[2012-04-21 06:15AM UTC] #c4e <kRypt0n> how much emphasis is on stock drives?
    [2012-04-21 06:15AM UTC] #c4e <cloud> nice work
[2012-04-21 06:15AM UTC] #c4e <kRypt0n> as in, will ixtreme work too?
    [2012-04-21 06:16AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> yes

    [2012-04-21 06:08AM UTC] #fw <boa> i saw that earlier today c4eva
    [2012-04-21 06:08AM UTC] #fw <boa> looks interesting
    [2012-04-21 06:08AM UTC] #fw <boa> tx makes qualty products
[2012-04-21 06:08AM UTC] #fw <boa> and it avoids sata issues
[2012-04-21 06:10AM UTC] #fw <boa> c4eva: any progress on the newer liteon / hiteach drives?
    [2012-04-21 06:11AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> boa:yes, working on 1175, getting there!
    [2012-04-21 06:11AM UTC] #fw <boa> nice
    [2012-04-21 06:14AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Cool
[2012-04-21 06:14AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Any news for slim hitachi people?
    [2012-04-21 06:16AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> xell:not yet, 1175 has focus
    [2012-04-21 06:19AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Will there be a new hardware method for flash/erase of 1175 ?
    [2012-04-21 06:19AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> yes
    [2012-04-21 06:19AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Has a method been discovered as yet?
    [2012-04-21 06:19AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> yes
    [2012-04-21 06:19AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Interesting
    [2012-04-21 06:20AM UTC] #fw <kRypt0n> once it's released, they'll make a new drive
[2012-04-21 06:20AM UTC] #fw <Juvenal> im fairly sure thats *not* why they have new drive revisions
    [2012-04-21 06:21AM UTC] #fw <boa>
[2012-04-21 06:22AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> fixes are incorporated in newer versions, both hardware and software
[2012-04-21 06:23AM UTC] #fw <Xellcorp> Whenever a new hardware revision is developed for whatever reason either better performance or cheaper production costs security is always added at the hardware and software levels
[2012-04-21 06:24AM UTC] #fw <Juvenal> Xellcorp, my point was that ms doesnt come out with new drive revisions in direct response to cfw
[2012-04-21 06:25AM UTC] #fw <Juvenal> its not like "oh shit, c4 came up with a new unlock method, time to make a new drive"
    [2012-04-21 06:25AM UTC] #fw <boa>
[2012-04-21 06:25AM UTC] #fw <boa> maybe they can come out with lasers that done suck
[2012-04-21 06:26AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> they have done well with the 1175 security wise, but not good enough
[2012-04-21 06:31AM UTC] #fw <Kombat_ac> c4eva i have info what 1175 have no vendor mode, it is true? any method for reading keyarea 3F-area?
    [2012-04-21 06:35AM UTC] #fw <c4eva> kombat:its there
