EPG Dissapears After Few Days of Importing

Hi All,

and compliments of the season. Currently, i use Vu+DUO2 Enigma Set Top Box. I use Jedimaker xtream plugin combined with wooshbuild infinity to stream IPTV channels only.

Meanwhile, each time i configure my EPG via the "EPG importer" plugin, it only last about 2 or 3 days and they ALL disappear even though i have configured the settings to import bouquets automatically.

So, every few days i have to import the EPG from sources manually and this is very frustrating.

Please, does anyone have an idea of how i can resolve this predicament. I have attached my Jedi Maker Xtream and EPG Impoorter settings for your perusal.

I look forward to hearing from you all

thank you

kind regards

D

Save and close

Hi Pablo,

thanks for your suggestion but i have always used this settings you suggested from time and still experiencing this same problem. See image of my settings below.

Anyway, i have saved this settings again and i would see how it behaves in the next few days

what happens is that, after about 36hrs, i start loosing EPG on some of the channels gradually until everything is gone finally
The box will be set to scan for epg data at a certain time each morning, Eg 7am
If the box is powered off overnight and switched on at 9am it has missed the epg scan, it should be left in standby overnight

Years ago i had the same issue on sat epg downloaded for 7 days and saved to usb and in 2 days it was blank.I ended up formatting usb and initialising it again and it fixed my issue.
Would his setup need to be setup from scratch and checked where it is getting saved?

Due to this problem, i have flashed my STB 4 times with and the issue still remain however eachtime i am flashing the box, iget an error saying i cannot "reinitialise my hard disk due to software error" So, i just bypass it and continue with the flashing. Could this be responsible?

I only switch off my TV at bedtime but the STB is always on standby. trust me

I don't think the epg importer can grab a 7 day epg which is why it's normally set to download new data every 24h
To the OP: You are losing the epg because it has nowhere to save it to, use a usb if the hdd isn't functioning

Need to know if hdd is by internal or external. If external usb needs to be removed.
After box is flashed and setup, power off remove usb that has just flashed it.
If you have external usb hdd is it seen?

Meanwhile, just to be very certain i would change the epg scan time to 9pm as i am sure to always watch TV at this time

Yes you can scan at 9pm but the downloaded data has nowhere to save to.
If it's just cable or sat then it won't be a problem as it's small.
If it's cable AND sat or if iptv is involved then you need a usb

since it seems hdd might be faulty, how do i use usb to save the epg.........do i justy plug in the usb and leave it there or is there any other process involved
i strongly suspect my hdd is playing up. during flashing, i used to be able to initalise the hdd but now i cant anymore

Put usb in go to menu. Setup. System. Storage devices. Click on the usb name and red to initialise it
Go to epgimporter settings and point it towards the usb for saving the epg

Thanks Pablo, funny enough i have now been able to initialize my Ext 1TB HDD from your suggestion..its all formatted and clean now. Do i still need a USB? if so, can you send me a screen shot in the epg importer settings where you configure saving point. i couldn't find it

If the hdd is initialised you don't need usb.
Go to epgimporter /settings
In there you have the option to save to internal flash or to usb or hdd
I'm out now so can't send any further information
