If you think the uk authorities haven't done a good job, keep your eyes on America in the next 2 weeks
It going to be a catastrophe over there and will dwarf Spain and Italy by comparison... individual state governers are ignoring the government and doing what they see fit, this means there's no coordinated effort, Americans don't queue for anything, they swarm, they've all got guns so no one can tell them anything and a lot if them still think it's a hoax, which is unsurprising really as most of them believe in zombies and alien abduction

WAIT FOR IT...

my tribute to our

@NHSuk A few days ago I asked for NHS workers to send me photos of them. The response was overwhelming with over 200 photos sent in. For your hard work, courage & heart. It’s emotional to me as this collage contains many of my best friends.

Yeah can see someone turning up at a walmart store with a AK47 and watch the queue suddenly disappear ffs they are crazy over there when it comes to survival of the fittest.

But can almost pridect a catastrophe over there thats for sure sadly and all captain trump is bothered about is the economy

My Daughter goes back in the firing line tomorrow after 14 days isolation with her 5yo and 2yo sons.
To say I’m frightened for her is an understatement. She is so determined to get back and do the Nurses job she loves.
I’m so proud of her and I pray she comes through this unscathed.

Did she have symtoms or did she know someone that did?

I really hope all these frontline workers get a big pay rise for their heroics because without such people out there helping it would be an absolute catastrophe.

But with who is in charge at the top and only favouring the big boys such amazing people wont get the pay rises they rightfully deserve for the amazing service they provide.

To those on here and out there who have friends and family working in the NHS only but respect and admiration. Hope they all keep safe with all the risks that are present in the current situation.

In regards to America people need to understand Trump is a businessman first and foremost he only cares about the economy being as strong if not stronger than before. He does not give a damn about how many people will die. Money is all he sees like alot of these fat cats.

It will be tragic in America over the next few weeks. Death toll will be unimaginable. Only person to blame for such a death toll will be the deluded arrogant Trump.

The way to come out looking good for the Pm is to award the nhs staff some form of award in the way of a medal or bonus £100 or maybe an extra days holiday.
No way will he be advocating a pay rise across the board for the nhs workers, hey its just my opinion.

He and the government are bunch of clowns.

What on earth are the NHS workers gona do with a medal or a bonus of £100 can you tell me?

People who risk their lives every day with this crisis and generally the heroic work they carry out daily whether due to the virus or not deserve a good pay increase. Not to be cut and given scraps by a government that has tried for years to destroy the NHS.

NHS was main foundation of this country what people around the world envied because of the people involved in NHS. They deserve to be shown more respect than they have been for so long.

I am not favouring anyone just think Boris and his crew are the business

I wouldn't normally get involved in tit for tat, I'm at a loss as to how you think this could be the case. This is the guy who stood with his crew and said 60% would need to get this for herd immunity until someone kindly reminded him of how many elderly would pass away. Not even a week later were all in lockdown to help our NHS which he has tried to destroy along with his crew over the years. I think the point being made here as you'll see reading back is the lack of ppe for folk like my wife and anyone else involved in trying to stay safe whilst working under big BOJO's crew..........just saying

I have one simple wish, no more wasted lives, due to ineptitude due to lack of PPE , and safe return of all our service members.

Ameen my brother.

Just want all these workers on the front line to be safe but need to be sufficient PPE in place for such workers.

I dread to think of such working conditions for them on a daily basis.

It's no different, in fact it's worse, in the richest nation on Earth, America, so blaming leaders, whoever they are is futile, no country in the world can cope with this unless you want to live in China where the army lock you up if you are infected and weld your apartment doors closed with you inside.
It is what it is, and we have to deal with it with the resources we have. I can't imagine any government relishes the thought of paying 80% of people's wages for a day longer than they have to but I think we are doing much better than other countries who had their first case on Jan 30th:
Spain
Italy
America
To name just three

Not really genocide though is it?
Numbers in USA, Italy and Spain are far worse and these places have alledgedly got better health services than us so we're not doing too bad with a second rate health service.
Ask yourself this, which country would you rather be in other than UK right now?
Japan? America? Australia?
You have more chance of survival where you are now, forget gazing over the horizon and imagining how fantastic it might be, it would be shit, complete carnage - watch what happens in the rest of the world in next few weeks and you'll realise how lucky you are to be where you are

I would say that watching from where big Bojo comes into this short clip it absolutely cements my thoughts of how bad they got it. I have only just lost my father lately and would really like to have my mother with us come the end of this pandemic. My guess is, this would most likely not have been the case if she was still going to the bingo, her only social outings 3 times a week in mass gatherings. Oh and as we're nearly a week into lockdown- the wife says she thinks their ppe arrives today. Well done Bojo and his crew.

@pabloescaban I tell you what, I'd rather had been under Italy's management, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Southern Ireland any where other than someone "wanting" the population to get it. I'd rather be under a leader that was wanting to SAVE my life, not wanting me to BECOME infected.

Not to mention that he let the "Need more ventilators email from the EU" please reply to this email.... but he never replied as apparently it went into his spam folder so we never got a chance of getting extra from the EU.

Just my thought's, so please, no arguments. My views are my own and not management. LOL

This is about 40 mins long, really good.

Also an app if you want to help fight it...

I agree and so do 72% of the population.

John Rentoul: On coronavirus, Boris Johnson is no Donald Trump

Boris Johnson’s attempt to model himself on Winston Churchill seemed absurd, until now. In America, most presidential candidates write books about themselves; Johnson wrote a book called The Churchill Factor.

Here he is, breaking opinion poll records that go back to the war. A new poll out today from Number Cruncher Politics finds that 72 per cent of people are satisfied with the government’s handling of coronavirus, with 25 per cent dissatisfied.

By coincidence, the earliest opinion polls carried out in Britain, by Gallup, which began in 1937. The proportions of those approving of Churchill’s handling of the war were similar. For example, in January 1944, 69 per cent said they were “satisfied with the government’s conduct of the war”.
