Battery on my 2015 citreon dispatch won't start off a jump start. Any ideas why. Its been laying about 10 days we out being switched on.
Troed jumping it from my other van but no joy. Would bad leads cause this?

Yes bad leads or connection and make sure your + to + is good and check also your ground connections.Presume both are diesels and needing a heavier set of leads.

diesel require a lot of power to start and can be difficult at times. Try leaving the leads on for 5 mins while the other van is running to charge it up a bit. make sure you have a good ground thou.

Leads do look in bad shape. not mines. Only thing i couldnt get to the negative on the van i was jumping from so i just put that on to a bolt at side of engine and attacthed other negative to the door lock on van thats dead. Dont no if thats correct

Most people wont have a load battery tester as a dead battery could put lights on and not have enough juice to turn engine over.

Where is battery located on that vehicle,Unsure with doorlock if its a great earth.

Sounds like your not getting a proper ground then! be careful where you put these grounds you don't want to blow your ECU's. Put them on a solid fixing at least, that isn't powder coated or dipped.

Book on dispatch says attach to door lock. And on the pegueot partner i cant get to the negative so theres a bolt head at side of engine bay on the wing next to battery and i attached there. Dont no where else to attach.

if you think you have good connections your battery must be knackered. how old is the battery? they only good for 3 to 5 years.

Have the van 2 years and a havent replaced it. Van itself has just turned 5 years old.
Leads that i was given by a mate arnt in the best condition can see the copper through certain parts.

Yes i would try that ,attach leads and run good car for 10 minutes to try and put some charge back in and might need a rev at 2500 rpm to get the juice to flow.

Some leads are short but need a heavier and longer ones if vehicles are apart and batteries on the wrong side.

Are you a member of AA or RAC or have Breakdown cover on insurance?
