WooshBuild Maybe softcam issues?

Hello.

I have a Tiviar Alpha Plus sat box with ATV 6.4 and the latest Wooshbuild image.

My box is connected to homeplugs upstairs and the main homeplug is downstairs which has the lan lead to/from the router.

I have fibre 80/20 with SSE which i think is run using Vodafone.

For about 2 weeks now my Cccam line glitches every 7-8 secs and then works for about the same time and does this constantly and is the same for all channels that need the line.

2 day ago i got a test ang tried that and that also was the same result.

I have tried a usb wifi adaptor and that also had the same glitching as with a wired connection.

I have tried turning off the router for a few mins and restarting things but it is still the same a speedtest throws up all different speeds like 45mb download and then next time 7mb download speed. I have a pc connected to the same TP link homeplug and the pc has the same seped issues but not as bad as the Tiviar box.

The homeplugs have been ok for about 10 months and no issues with the sat box or pc and i did contact SSE but they said there was no issues with router or my land/internet line.

Is the 8 second playing ok and then 8 seconds not working a softcam line issue or would that be more to do with homeplug/fibre/router issue?

Any help or advice would be freat.

Have you tried putting your cccam line into oscam and see if using oscam is any better?

Yes i have tried it 2 hours ago and it glitches for about the same as Cccam. I have tried my current line and the test line.

I have used Oscam on lan and the wifi adaptor and both the same results.

Maybe it's the Wooshbuild as i did change from ATV 6.1 to 6.4 and put the new/latest Wooshbuid on the box just before Xmas but as homeplugs and wifi both have the issue i was thinking the router was the issue.

If it was a wooshbuild issue then I would suspect there would be more posts reporting this issue

Thanks for your reply.

I am not sure if it is the Wooshbuild image but the issue started not long after i re-flashed the box but all this could be coincidence but trying to trace what is causing this glitching is the hard part.

What cam is in use as maybe one is better than another?
Everybody working from home and could that also be a factor?

Thank you for all the replies and tips.

I used oscam-trunk and it seemed to be slightly better but still stop/start like before and i tried wired and wifi and it was the same for both.

So at the weekend i re-flashed with Grogbuild and kept ATV 6.4 and so far the line has been stable aprt from BTsport but i have read on here and another site that there are doing things to that channel so that maybe the reason but anyhow all is fine with my Tiviar box so once again thank you.

I wonder if wooshbuild has the older mgcamd? grogbuild freerange was updated with mgcamd 1.45 (I think) but not sure if it was updated in wooshbuild.

Glad you got it sorted @1vincent

All my BT sports channels have started playing up again, started 2 week ago everything else though are fine.

OK I didn't know if the feeds had been updated for 1.45
I just installed it one a partition the other day just to have a look at some files didn't check mgcamd version to see but im using zgemma arm box so I would not have got choice of 1.45 any way only 1.38 on openatv.
