This game shows why the Premier league is the best in the world. Where else would you see a result like this, second bottom beating 4th 5 - 2? West Brom's 4 th win of the season and theyve scored 8 goals v chelsea this season...who needs England games lol

Anyone can beat anyone in the premier league on their day, happens every season and always will.

If you stuck them in the premier league, initially bottom half, however given the crowd they get each weekend, with the money that the premier league clubs get, onc they began spending it, given their size, with 18 to 24 months youd expect top 6, dependent on manager ofc

Yup and why rangers or celtic would finish in the bottom half, pub football in scotland :LOL:
Scottish football has been going on a downward spiral for many years due to hardly any investment in football there especially grass roots level.

Says what you want rangers and Celtic are huge clubs and their standing in football isn't disputed even if the league itself is of poor quality nowadays.

Ye hasn't been a competitive league for a very long time which is a shame.

Would expect next season to be closer race with rangers and Celtic.

Tbh watch other European league and really like bundelsiga, la Liga and serie A but find don't find them as entertaining as premier League

Newcastle and Sunderland are two clubs that spring to mind who never do anything in the Premier League even with the big crowds they get. Gate receipts aren't a big part of a Premier League club's income.

The premier league money pit is from sky and bt tv. Years back the old first division was flooded with top class scottish players, every team had em but nowadays they are few and far between.
Never doubted the fanatical gers and celts fanbase but the players just wouldnt cut the mustard in the premier league. All in my humble opinion of course

Tbf they still produce the odd decent player. Andy Robertson and Kieran Tierney are up there with the best LB's in the league imo

Ye both terrific players.

If they had more investment in Scottish football can really see good standard of players in the the league there and generally competitive football. But that seems some way off from happening.

Premier league is just too powerful money wise. No league in the world can really compete with them financially.

Is the influx of foreign players stopping the growth of english players in the premier league?
Didn't Arsenal once field a team with no englishmen in it?

I'm a bit lost as to what your point is here regards the top 2 teams in the Scottish League. It's not the fanbase that's in question, its the marketing and pulling power of the old firm worldwide. Couple this up with lets say 90/100 million just for staying in the league. How would FFP play work then given that Celtic have no debt and Rangers are in debt I believe to the tune of 16 million soon to be wiped by the European money brought in this year/
So why would Rangers or Celtic not be able to cut the mustard? I would suggest that out-with Man utd, Man City, Liverpool and possibly Arsenal the old firm have far a bigger pull than any of the remaining teams in the EPL. All of whom are laden with debt trying to stay in that league, in fact I would suggest that Man utd have the most debt of the lot. Think this popped up of how unjust it was when everyone was gunning for City on FFP. As for the best league in the world, you could argue is correct but many would argue its not as if it were such a good league it would be seen to dominate the big trophies which in fairness they don't. In fact when you move it to international level this is where it really shows. So when you all sing "its coming home" it never really does. As a jock I know it will never come home, but you can dream as you always do because unless my memory is correct the quarter finals is the furthest you've been since Venables in 96 unless I have missed something

With out foreign players premier league wouldn't be great league it is.

Do agree there should be something to allow more English players to get into first team. As they are some quality young players but just need more exposure at the top level.
