Get YouTube Premium For Less (Regions Still Working With VPN).

Anyone done the Apple India account route lately, does it still work?
I think they have pretty much closed this loophole. They do address verification on the payment system to confirm it's from the country being signed up to. This is a paid service offered by companies that process electronic payments

Cheers @thebesh is this even if paying using Indian ITunes gift card?

Can confirm this worked, I did it two days ago. £1.71 a month! I basically bought an Apple gift card from Amazon India using a VPN and redeemed on my freshly created Apple ID, saying I live in India with a UK number (redeemed code via Apple music app on Windows). Then used an Apple device to subscribe to YouTube premium via the app. Will top up 2 years worth in a few days (£41 quid). Also I used a random McDonald's Indian address in Delhi 🤣

So can you use your premium on non apple devices?

Yes, you can use your YouTube Premium on any device since it's linked to your Google account, not the device itself. Even if you’ve created a new Apple ID, you can still log in to your old YouTube account. As long as your current Premium subscription has expired, you can resubscribe at Indian rates.

So I just topped up my account with 4,695 Indian Rupees worth £41 / €51. That should give me 24 months of YouTube Premium at today's rate. I used the best seller on Amazon India called PineLabs. Hopefully that helps.
I would have prob advised to do 3 months in advance or at most 6 ..youtube are clamping down so u never know when the close a certain loophole ..means ur left with money worst case scenario and can use it on something else

My indian sub was cancelled, I managed to setup a new gmail account and went premium using the above method. Hopefully it lasts.

FYI - Gamsgo (and other online sites providing access to family plans) have been rumbled.

I had 36 days left of my sub to YouTube Premium and it's stopped working. Gamsgo are being pretty upfront and saying that YouTube have upped their game and have done some work to stop sites offering access to join a family plan.

They have offered compensation on what I had left in my account. One of the suggestions is to join a new plan with a new email address. The kicker is that you need to hand them the email address and password for them to set it up. They suggest changing password again once it's completed. I've created a dummy email address that I don't use for anything and I think I'm going to go for the 12 month plan with this new setup (it's about £40). I'll update this thread once I do this.

Looks like Google/YouTube are really trying to close all doors to cheap YouTube Premium.

I’ve been using brave browser on my phone as a pretty decent alternative to watch YT vids (completely free btw).

I think it’s been doing the job really well; brave blocks ads and allows picture-in-picture. It also allows you to open multiple YouTube tabs which I find quite useful for having like a short term hacky “watch later”.

I guess the only thing it doesn’t have is the download, and maybe some other stuff but yeah if you’re just looking to block ads, pretty nice alternative instead of using vpns etc.

I've went and submitted my request to Gamsgo for their "recharge" account. This will be an individual account and NOT part of a family plan (which is what they did before). They give a lead time of 2/3 business days, so I'll update if/when it gets activated.

FYI - I use an adblocker on my laptop (so I don't see most of the adverts or issues). However I also use YouTube a lot on Android TV and on my Phone. I love the fact with Premium you can start a video and then lock your phone screen and the audio continues to play. This is great if I'm out walking the dog and want to listen to a YouTube podcast.
