2 lines buffering

Hello,

Had a look but couldn't see anything on this. I have a sub with a member on here and pay for 2 lines so that it can be watched at same time in 2 different rooms by different people.

The line plays well enough but when the 2nd line is then added to the equation I start to get buffering like every minute or so. It just freezes for a few seconds and then reconnects. Its super annoying!

Anyone any ideas or is this a sub problem? One device is an nvidia shield the other a firestick.

Check in the app settings to see how many connections are enabled. Sounds like it's a single connection and you are trying to run 2 device's on it. If it's active for 2 connections then that's the problem. Ask him to give you separate login details for the second device and he can IP lock it. Don't put up with crap good luck 🤞
 
As @moshibeth said , sounds like you are exceeding your connection limit, check your line actually is actually set up for 2 connections . Your provider can tell you how many devices are logged in currently. Check you have got any apps open in the background that maybe grabbing a connection. (And on phone etc).

Are you using a VPN on each device? That's might give 2 separate Ip addresses, which might cause an issue.
 
Thanks for the replies folks, its much appreciated. I have checked in the settings on smarters pro and it says max connections 2.

He seems a very decent bloke and I've been with him for a while. I absolutely hate firesticks. Is the only way to proper close down open apps to force close them. Could they be open and running in the background without me knowing or could there be any other issues?

The buffering is happening on an nvidia shield. The firestick in a room upstairs and appears to be fine otherwise my daughter would definitely let me know lol

Nvidia shield is connected to the router via ethernet cable and firestick wifi. I cant make sense of it unless settings are wrong somewhere on the shield?

What app you using on shield reinstall the app

It means u can’t share that sub with other people.

Ask your provider if they got a IP lock on your sub they can undo it to that might be the issue.

Ok I'll ask and see what he says. Wondering if I have some setting on the shield thats causing a conflict
 
speak to providor WHEN its buffering, he should be able to see what you are watching / how many connections being used.

tivimate is decent, don't know why its crashing your shield, thats a bit wierd.
 
I had something similar from a bloke on here. Decent bloke as well.
In the end we changed username and password, that sort of fixed it. He couldn't figure out why it was buffering, he used the account to test as well. Sometimes it's the Gremlins
