Hello all, maybe someone can help out. I think it could be in the TV settings, but this only started happening recently. Usually, I refresh the app and I'm good to go, but recently it's like it's trying to play, like stuttering and not refreshing, just keeps spinning. My only solution and the only way I'm getting it to work is by going home on the Firestick and restarting it, and bingo, it's working. My grief is this has only started happening lately and it's not the sub as I've a double connection and it's only happening on the LG TV upstairs. Thanks in advance anyone who has any ideas 💡

Is it on Wi-Fi , is the firestick hid behind the Tv if so could be Wi-Fi. Clear caches etc . Which firestick is it ?
Wifi is fine mate stick is 2 before 4k there that many I can't remember which it called works fine once on never skips and works as soon as I restart it that's my fix at the min

It will can also happen on some multi room sub's when playing at the same time. Fix is use VPN on one device
Only 1 is mostly on Mike it's strange as I say only started happening recently vpn I've never had to use before and all was sweet I can get 1 but is that really going fix it , it works still perfect once I restart it's only on the initial start up .

Well the thing is with fire sticks you can't just universally clear cache not even with tools as your having to restart all the time

1 make sure nanny settings off in router
2. Clear cache on all apps then reboot router

Make sure on 2,4 GHz wifi connection

I hear you Mike but surely it would effect the other sub too of same network provider ? It's running smoothly this runs fine too it's just the initial starting up it's all been cleared and router checked ✔️ ✅️ I did take a new contract out with ISP recently and this is a new tv also , I dud try Google even AI suggested it could be the TV going into a deep sleep mode and knocking the stream off which I know nothing about tbh .

No not really specially if firestick is furthest away from router. Not sky is it your ISP. Your TV shouldn't go into deep sleep after a few minutes it will give you a warning first. Just turn off eco mode

Is the other stick the same generation . sounds like it’s a good few years old , swap it with the other stick see what happens . Do a factory reset and only install req’d apps

Tbh the other stick is older and it's fine it was only one I ran it on so it was 1st used the one causing the problem would be a newer version pal

Worth swapping them about for a few days before a factory reset . I’ve had sticks and they slowly die , even a factory reset doesn’t sort it . Only have 4k ones now.

Virgin are known for having poor WiFi. I had to buy a mesh system to get it to work properly

Mine's all good, to be fair, no problem with WiFi as it works fine on tablets, PS5s, etc. Boosters are all around the house, and it runs IPTV fine. It's the freezing when turning on the TV that's doing my head in.
