Sound gone on starview channel

Sound Problems

To get back sound on e4 sky1, Ch 5 ect just select the channel in question press menu,
select installation, select manual scan, click ok on down frequency.
It'll now scan for channels when its finished exit back to normal
tv viewing screen go to the end of your channel listing and the desired channel will be there with sound.
This can be done on any channel with no sound by just selecting that channel following the instructions above.
Hope this helps

Note the freq of the channel anfield.
Delete the channel & do a manual scan on the freq, it will show up at the end of your channel list & the sound should be back.
If not it could be a cable co. problem ;)

yes i have to do that quite often on some of the animal planet or discovery chnls. have no idea why the sounds goes. its quite quick n simple to do ( although hubby still cant do it lol)

Slight topic change,

Does anyone know if Discovery Health and Living is still available on NTL Ireland? (If yes, has someone got the Freq?)

Living is on 339.500 G
Disc Health is gone, replaced by Discovery investigation.

Starview sound problem

I have a starview 3 which has no sound at all on any channels...is there anything i could do?

thanks

Have you checked the scart is in the TV slot at the back of the box & coaxial cable is in cable input & both are secure?
If they are, turn the box off at the back for a min, then turn back on & see if this works.

Try rescanning your box........factory default.....scan.....turn emu on

also check u aint pressed the mute botton on ya remote lol

also look in menu-tv settings see if the volume is high

ive re-scanned and checked the remote buttons, just about everything but still no sound. could this be a board fault like a faulty cap??

Try an rf cable from the box to the TV instead of the scart lead. You will need to tune the tv in if using this.
