i am not sure the devs will even look for a fix until hd goes off compltley anyway. there will always be another way e.g cable. these things take time.

In a nutshell: Nobody really knows but general opinion is that HD will phase out in the next few weeks but SD will remain for the foreseeable; at the moment nobody has a solution and an eventual fix looks unlikely.

nope i have a pop at everyone everybody has their liked channels some more than others when more go it will start feeling worse for more,i lost all cable when n3 arrived.
 
I see people saying cable is the option now, but I read the setup and the encryption of that sort of system is complicated. Is this true or did I misread?
 
People panicking....yet in reality only 4/5 HD channels are down and all the main ones are up.

Been told by a guy who knows his stuff that SD will remain for a long time yet, hes 99.99% sure of this but HD will go off very soon he says.
Sly italia same thing happened - HD went off years ago, SD still works now. for sly to get rid of SD is a loooong process and costly, and if it did happen, it will not be for a long time.
 
Is there anybody on here that knows what's req to get HD back up and running if it eventually fails?? Is it just a cost thing or could it be just too technical??

haha my point is people panicking everything (even SD) will go whilst at this very minute even most HD works. What will happen will happen. No point getting sad and thinking scenarios in your head.
Noone with a brain thought this would always last forever surely.

I agree, even SD only is wonderful and the experts' outlook seems to be good on that front. Once word started to spread the hole was bound to be closed I guess....I was late in myself, less that 3 months ago! It's all my fault, when I turn up they always decide to end the party....I joined Ovivo just after xmas!!

Morning all,

New to the this whole Skybox thing and was introduced by a friend yesterday. Is their going to be a way to get these HD channels back? It will be the difference in me making a purchase or not.

i just updated to the latest AJ's list as i was missing a few more channels than metioned on this thread. Now all i can pick up is about 10 radio stations.

have i done something wrong, i have emailed my server provider but being a Sunday morning i haven't heard back yet.
any help is appreciated.
 
No probs Cackti. I wasn't aiming at you or anyone or any specific prog. It is frustrating. We're I this together one big family.

Its a simple solution press satlist button then goto sky 28 uk press any channel then press TV/RADIO button on remote. Worked for me anyway.
