Hey all,

Can't find a section for this box so posting in here. My brother has just purchased a Golden Interstar XPEED LX2 HD Enigma 2 Linux PVR (2x DVB-S/S2) Twin Tuner Satellite Receiver direct from WOS with Vix installed as it was reduced from £199 to £109, he's been impressed with my little ibox 2 but wanted a twin turner with Vix updated support.

I've never heard of this box untill last night and new to the area of boxes so asking if anyone got one, are they easy to set up? Its comming with Vix pre-installed so I'm guessing I just need to add mgcamd for his nline, mount his USB drive, make his swap file, use Autobu for channels and then add Blue HD skin and it will be up and running. Once done make a backup of his box incase of problems.

As I don't have a twin turner box, I figure I need to make sure both tuners are set to 28.2 and make tuner B his default for recording. Some advice on the setting up a twin tuner box would be great too just so I don't miss anything.

suppose to be equal to the solo2 great box,if he is on wos forum download the vix manual pdf to pc as you wont get a better tut,when you are setting up the box the cam you need is mgcamd1.38 and that is downloaded from the plugin feeds -softcams,setup epg to usb and i presume internal hdd/or external for recordings,setup abm to scan for channels,vu solo2 and vu duo 2 and other enigma 2 boxes setup the same.
mg_cfg and newcamd.list are ftp/filezilla to var/keys or usr/keys.

dont need a swap file for a fast box only the solo and duo which are now slow as in old boxes.

The make of box doesn't matter if it's running the Vix image.

Looks like a good box btw so will be interested in his views on it. Good alternative to the zgemma boxes although more expensive

Ive just bought this box as well, running vix image as well. Can you let me know how you got on setting it up as Im hoping mine will arrive on monday.
 
Well my brother cancelled his order, they kept sending him a message saying due to high orders the order will be delayed, after 3 days he got p!ssed off and cancelled. Funny though I ordered one and its due Monday, lol so I've sold him my ibox 2+ SE and he's happy.

Once its arrived and set up and let you know how I get on, after reading some if the reviews on other forums, this box is supposed to be quick, stable and a great box for the money. A few have said its worth spending the extra and get this box over the zgemma 2 and that it gives the Vu+ Duo a run for its money.
 
vu duo is now old news and slow,new boxes are faster and more uumphh,i bet it will leave zgemma 2 behind a long way.
 
Just checked my status on WOS and said its waiting on payment clearing. Paid with Paypal and money came straight out my account. Hope they are not messing me about.
 
I paid with PayPal and it cleared straight away, the only thing I know will delay a PayPal payment is if PayPal do it as an e-cheque and that takes about 5-7 days to clear, check your paypal account to see if there is any problem and double check its paid.
 
Mate I checked and it was paid as I had the money in my paypal account. Ive emailed WOS but no response, dont know if they work on a Saturday.
 
I've emailed before and they take about 24hrs to answer, as its Sunday tommorow I would wait till Monday and if you don't get a responce by lunch time or your payment isn't showing cleared then I'[d ring them to chase it up.

They are pretty good with feedback, you should get an email when it's dispatched
and another with tracking details, they give you an hour delivery slot so your not hanging
about all day.

Got the combo version of this box, haven't had any issues.

Thats good to hear, I know they are having stock issues with the xspeed at the moment and are getting stock in daily to cope with demand, at the reduced price it seems these boxes are selling like hot-cakes right now.

Once your order is ready you will get an email informing you its ready for delivery, you will then get an email informing you or your tracking number, website address to follow the parcel. I would say delivery would be Tuesday/Wednessday for you Thursday at the latest.
 
Well my box arrived today. Well packaged, delivered in the given time slot so all good with that.

Box is well built, plenty of ventilation on the box to allow good air flow, nice bright display panel on the front, displays text which scrolls too so you can read what it say. I opted for the VIX pre-installed on the box so plaugs it in, switched it on and VIX loaded nice and quickly.

The remote is great, nice size to hold, well laid out and comfortable to use.

Set up was easy, very quick and no problems, found all UK sky channels, loaded in correct order, no problem we setting the tuners either. mgcamd 1.38 loaded, my nline works no issues and the box mounted my Transcend 32GB USB v3.0 drive without a problem.

After 30 min's my box was finished (excluding the added extra plugins), up and running perfectly. I have to say my only experience is with a Openbox V8S and a Cloud ibox 2+ SE and this is much faster, loads quicker, moves through options quick and smoothly, changes channels quickly (still tring to figure out how to reduce the delay time when switching channels by number) loads the EPG nice and quick and was easy to setup Tuner B as my default recording Tuner.

Over all I would say for £109 its a cracking little box, worth the money and I'm very happy to have it. I think the fact its a twin turner for £109 makes it very appealing and the build quality feels good and design is good too.

Would I recommend this box? Yes I would for someone who doesn't want to spend £100's of pounds on the extra fancy twin tuner boxes then this is the one to get. Plus its supported by VIx is thats the image you want to run.
