no SNR signal?!?!? box not working!!!! GRRRR

do you have any tutorials to reflash the gzemma H2s? feel so annoyed, was looking forward to spending my sunday evening watching some sky movies with the family. have spent nearly 6hours trying to find a fix for this.

either i can do it myself and buy a new gift or send it back to the seller and he can fix it for £50 which would mean id have the box back to me by end of the week.

i actually didnt make a back up of it, noob mistake on my part. thought once it was working it was all good to go. such a big mistake. the seller is now asking me to send it back to him and if it is a configuration mistake on my part then he will charge £50 for me to fix it. if it is his fault then he will do it free of charge.

FTP to the box and copy the contents of usr/keys to your pc - reflash with woosh and put the usr/keys files back.
The very worst that can happen is that you lose your line - £30 ish for a year.
If it doesn't work after a reflash, the box is faulty (which I doubt).

Theres a bit of a guide to flashing in my formatting drives pdf in my signature. Just download the wooshbuild basebuild, copy your existing line to pc and you should be up and running within the hour.

flashed it back to whooshbuild againn still no signal and the gift is also gone, not sure how to put that back on again. surely the freesat channels should work

copy your existing line to pc

Did you do that? USB cam importer to copy it to the box.

Have you tried putting the feed to tuner B? I wouldn't imagine there could be a fault on both tuners.

If you only have one cable going in your box it goes bottom right. (tuner A in)

Also in tuner config make sure tuner b is disabled.

Re-end your cables.

knock on your neighbours doors and ask them if they are having problems with sky. If so your dish very likely has moved if it was working on free to air and it is now not.

Yes, done the cam importer so thats all good to go now. Iv tried both tuner A and B but still not working. My old man reckons theres something wrong with the internal tuner? Or something.

I put the wire into Tuner A in (it worked in that one yesterday) tuner B is disabled, the f connector is already re ended, it cant be the satellite because when i plugged my sky box in the freesat channels work but on the zgemma they dont work not even BBC channel.

Why don't you try another original sky box.....that will rule out a lot of things.....If it's working then the issue is with box/setup....why u not listen.

I dont understand why you are saying im not listening lol? Iv tried every method these kind gentleman have offered to me and im greatful for that. Iv been on my sofa in my sitting room since 1pm UK time and its neary 11pm here and still trying to fix this problem. I have tried a sky+ HD box and also the normal old Sky box and they both work. My Zgemma doesnt seem to pick up a satellite feed, not even the freesat channels are working. The SNR is stuck on N/A.

Last thing to try is setting it up on another sat cable somewhere to see if the FTA channels work.
If they do then the problem is in your connections.
If it doesn't then it's the box.
If you have to return then make sure you either have serial number or a special mark hidden as it wouldn't be the first time they say you buggered it up and swap the box and get the £50 from you !!

Configuration mode – simple Mode – Single
Satellite – automatic (or 28.2e)
Send DiSEqc – yes/no depending whether you have a motorised dish or not
(There was a bug not so long ago that was making Tuner A just display a black screen on scrambled channels. It is recommended you set DiSEqc to yes even though you don’t have a motorised dish)
Do a full manual scan.
Type of scan – single satellite (for fixed dish)
Network Scan – Yes
Clear before scan – yes Only free scan – no (unless you only want free to air)
On complete if using Astra 28.2e this will find about 900+ channels. Anything significantly less than that will mean you dish will need a bit of a realignment tweak....Credit to kiddac.

any idea why this might be happening?

iv given it a try, the FTA channels still do not work, even on the 2nd box that i have. but they work on the Sky box. upstairs and in sitting room.

Did you read my post ?
I suggested trying your zgemma at a different location to ascertain if it's the box or your connections that are at fault ?

yeah lol i did read your post, i thought you meant as in different location in my home. i really dont know where to try to be honest with you mate. no one in my block will allow me and dont want to ask them to be honest.
