WARNING ! autobouquetsmaker github update file crashing box !

Hi all,

Just flashed a box and did the update file from GitHub and this is now causing box to crash !

Re-Flashed and just did the scan without the update and all ok then downloaded file update again restarted box then re-scan and hey ho CRASH !!!


Am i missing something here as never had a problem before, thinking bad file from GitHub

Can you try these View attachment abm files.rar py files there maybe more to it than this but worth a try. FTP both bouquetsreader.py and bouquetswriter.py to usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/AutoBouquetsMarker/scanner save the pyo versions to pc reboot box update config files then scan abm. ps use these files at your own risk and only try them if you know what your doing and can easily re flash
 
Did a update yesterday on atv and all is good
making a backup now and see if there is any updates for it today

who is on vix and what box comes to mind and software online could have issues depending on what previous image was on box?
 
I'm on Vix on zgemma h.2s
It downloaded the latest sky files with no problem just when I updated abm is when it keeps crashing.
I have re-flashed for the time being and hopes it sorts itself out

and past in Notepad and save as dvbscanner.py and ftp to the same place as the last of the py files
 
I've flashed a new box with the latest Openvix image from zgemma.tv this evening. I've never set a box up from scratch before and am still a long way from getting this one properly set up, but I've installed ABM and run Update Config Files and the a scan. Whether it's all set up to scan properly, I'm not 100% sure, but it's running the can just fine.

Something to consider maybe.

P.S. Interestingly, the extension downloads are working, whereas they weren't in my Sucmnsee backup.

this is why woosh builds work

open vix is not supported on zgemma so use open atv by wooshman

Lan people using vix supported boxes where having the same issues they've now bumped the imageversion of abm so update config files won't work on abm 2.4 at all so later abm plugin is needed (2,5) for atv ota updates will take care of it. I don't know if vix actually update abm via software updates so supported boxes may need to reflash later images.

As I suspected it was the latest provider files had references to py files that where conflicting

So would updating to latest Vix work around this then as still won't have it, don't really want to use openatv as I am now a wizard on my Vix image lol

thanks for support everyone and hoping I can resolve as I am sure a lot of people will be affected by this
 
I've set my box up using the Openvix image from 27/01/17 that's in zgemma.tv, but it has ABM v2.4 rather than the newer v2.5 (displays error). You're welcome to have a copy of by backup if you want. I see there's a newer release on 04/02/17 - I wonder if this has v2.5?
