Hi I have just bought a vpn service and not sure what it covers.. I am on sly bb and everything in my house is connected via wifi laptop, tablet, smart tv, phones, But my vu stb which runs my iptv is wired direct to the hub.. I installed the vpn on my laptop and can see on its home page my new ip address and country im connected to.. But does this hide my real ip address on all in my house? or does the vpn have to be installed on every device?

If installed on laptop that's the only thing that's hidden with VPN you would have to install on all your compatible devices iam wanting the VPN on router to protect all devices but lost on how to this weekend I am gonna install on my zgemma so my IPTV is covered

Ah ok so the main reason i bought it was for the streaming.. So it has to go onto my vu box wow wouldn't know where to start.. Thanks for advise..
 
It's not ment to be that hard if it's a openvpn just got to edit some files Google your vpn and see if it can go in enigma 2 box

Yer would like to know how hard it is iam no techie but if it's simple I will go may I ask what VPN your using

Well that was a doddle putting it on my vu box but the problem is I start it by pressing green but after a second or two it stops again. I've also tried pressing yellow autostart and rebooting the box but says stopped. Any advice would be greatful ..
P.s I'm using wooshbuild... I reflashed the box now running the latest vix and still got the same result. vpn not start. I'm begining to wonder if it's my client.conf file i have edited wrong.. line 4 of the tutorial
4. open the client.conf in a text editor and modify the line "auth-user-pass" so it reads "auth-user-pass password.conf" (without the quotes)
That doesn't mean i need to enter the password my pia created does it? or does it..
e.g. auth-user-pass 12345.conf

Change 'password.conf' to 'password.txt' and make sure it's a text file created in notepad. Also make sure it's the same in your conf file.

If that fails pm me your email address and we'll sort it out off line.

Also make sure your client file is correct and doesn't look like client.conf when you look at it in explorer.

Just re read your earlier post and yes you do need a password.txt file that contains your login username on the first line and your password beneath it.

Just tried your instructions Studio 5 and worked straight away thanks for your help my friend ...
 
Hi sorted my mate out with iptv worked for a couple of days but then died, brought the box to my house and it works fine,
Internets fine at his house just not understanding what's going on does he need vpn?
Also different broadband suppliers.

There blocking football at a weekend mate that's why he might have been experiencing problems do you know if it all channels or just football there is starting to be a crackdown on football at a weekend a vpn may make a difference may not as people don't know if it's providers or isp that's blocking out there's a post in general chat about what's happening
 
It's gotta be the broadband like I said works fine at mine, walk 30seconds to me mates and nothing,no channels can't even get into xtream just comes up with no access, problem with connection to your server. Contact administrator.
