using a zgemma i55 to stream it, ive put the box ip address in the dmz field on the router but cannot check just yet

It's a process of elimination. First thing I'd do is run the m3u url for for your line through VLC player and see what result that gives (although your supplier probably just assigns the line to your MAC). Next check that the internet connection for the box is ok. And so on....

If he's connected via xtreme, i doubt hes been given an m3u

ive just ran it through vlc without a single problem, no buffering or stopping at all, websafe is off! internet on the box seems to be fine, is there any speed test plugins which i can run on the box?

hard wired directly into the superhub, i have been given an m3u link as my provider allows me to edit my own epg to sort channels and such and on the extreme site i have access to my line info for m3u and perfect player

Have you got IPTV Player plugin on the box? Try streaming a HD movie and see how that goes - just to check if your connection is ok.

It's pointing to internet connection then. Try the usual stuff - unplug and reconnect the cable at either end and reboot the router. Try a different cable. Different port on the router too.

I've experienced a faulty H2S box in the past - couldn't stream anything. Most likely was the network adapter, but supplier changed the box. It's something to consider too.

What image are you using? Try installing the speed tester plugin and see what it tells you.

You could also buy a cheap wifi adapter off eBay and set it up with a wifi connection. It can take a bit of messing but you'll get there eventually. The wifi adapters are handy to have anyway, and also only a couple of quid.
