hi there!
i had my s2 running fine for years untill it lost all the sky channels with them switching to new counter measures! Not had my box plugged in now for a year+
but i was thinking, is there anyway to get the skygo app to work on this s2, and use my brothers skygo ?
thanks for any help

Unfortunately not. Sky Go will only work on a laptop/tablet etc.
thanks for the quick reply!
just another quick question, Does virgin cable still work for all channels or have these been stopped? i have virgin cable broadband 200mb

Yes, Virgin lines are still receiving channels. I don't use it myself as I dont have Virgin, but I think the only thing missing is Sky Sports HD, but you still get it in SD.....oh and things like BT/ITV Box Office, I don't think you can get them, but you can get Sky Box Office for PPV's.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me, but I'm 99% certain that's all correct.

thanks again for quick response, i have been looking at other posts on this forum, and it seems virmin are also moving away from SD channels, so it seems days are numbered if not already up, for us! LOL fun while it lasted

I use IPTV, mainly for sports/PPV as I have the basic Sky package and then just use Plex for Movies/Box Sets.

I was forced to change when Sly CardSharing ended. Cable may last a while yet, plus it's probably cheaper than IPTV anyway and a lot of people say more reliable as well.

You've been without chanels for 12 months and you have a live VM feed?
If you'd got a cable box when sky channels went you wouldn't have missed a thing

I think there is still quite a few channels left on Virgin and the quality is good so probably worth it for what it costs. It all depends what you want to watch. I never had cable in my area so went down the Iptv route but I have to say Iptv has improved greatly as of late and has way more channels than cable.

I use iptv at my place and have a vm line as I use there broadband can anyone recommend a box for getting the cable channels going ? Or should I just stay with iptv
