Mag 256 slow as Phil Babb

Hi I have mag 256 hardwired via homeplug , for the past week it’s really slow download . Test shows 2!!!! Tested at mates and it’s getting 30 ? Different providers but I’ve been assured not been throttled ?? Any ideas what problem could be ?? I also hardwired straight to router no better, thanks for any answers

if you have turn off router completely to do a full reset you'll need to unplug both homeplugs so they have been reset also this should cure the problem you may also need to pair the homeplugs again.

Hi I’ve done all that, I suspect my internet provider is up to no good , bought new android box and it’s the same , crap speed . They deny it but hard to believe the only two streaming devices are only ones being effected

Who is your provider?
How long you had your homeplugs and what speed are they need min 600mbps for good connection.

Provider voda
Homeplugs fine tested on other devices
Even hardwired direct from router only getting 2 download , WiFi to anything not streaming is 40/50 . Either router or provider defo problem

I have the same problem. Looked all over the internet for a solution and everyone asks the same questions to your problem without giving a cure. Basically there is no difference in my set-up apart from i switched isp to Vodafone. Then boom speed dropped to 2.6Mb on wired mag, router syncs at 56.8Mb, all devices over wifi in close proximity show tests at 45-55Mb.
This obviously causes stuttering on viewing.
This points to 3 possible causes, the mag, the router or the isp. The router is showing all ports closed and impossible to open any, not sure if this could somehow be a problem or some other setting in there. Quite a bit out there on net that infomir have incorporated something into their software via copyright infringement laws. Next, maybe the isp can slow iptv traffic, if so i have no clue about how this works and how to get around it. But as most complaints on the internet are from Vodafone broadband customers, it is definitely them in someway.
Amazing how it started about 4 weeks after i had been with them, so it was too kate to walk away, now i am trapped with a shoddy iptv service or paying out for more equipment.

It’s Voda throttling iptv , dame on android box I bought , stuck vpn on it and has cured that . Need to get vpn router sorted for my mag as only need vpn for streaming as other speeeds on Voda excellent

same here on voda... well for now until switch date.... i cant watch nothing but sd channels there shite voda. what worrys me if they all start doing what voda are doing.

i have tried vpn and it was still the same for me... speeds a little better but still buffering.... i went out and spent 120 on a router to thinking that would help... strange thing is it did.... then my router went off for 4-5 hours xmas eve and its not worked since with fhd hd just like the crap router they sent me

I bought new Voda router on eBay for £5 which actually helped my speed , googling now to see if Voda router allows vpn router as access point but doubt it. I’m only few months into new 18 month contract with Voda

I'm also having issues with Mag 256 and Vodafone, they are definitely throttling the Mag box. Wired speed directly to Mag box is never more than 3.5, had to put VPN to resolve this. Wired speed to everything else is 70! The finger certainly points to voda.
