noticed the piccolo and also the progressive hybrid cable boxes are being sold brand new for less than £40, do they work for cable?
a relative wants a cheap cable box, was going to order one, not sure what firmware it will take?
Can't see picollo image or progressive image on the openatv nightly builds website, don't wanna buy one and find I can't flash a build to it

Used a number of Edision DVB systems in recent years, imo as a rule of thumb they are a slight step up to the Zgemma models of similar specs,
haven't used the piccolo model yet but the other models I've used are worth every penny.

Cheers, I've noticed the cheaper ones, the 'progressive hybrid' relies on wifi dongle - no ethernet port, but the piccollo looks very similar (at the back) to zgemma with all the appropriate sockets etc, may order one of these.
On an (slightly) related note, I've noticed the Kull media site sponsor website no longer works

what have you got against the H9? had my hands on one of these the other day, performed a fresh install & setup from scratch.... Everything went nice & smoothly, box performed very well, find it hard to beat at the price.

'The other day' - hang on a week or two and see what you think, heard nothing but bad things about them, faulty tuners, constant crashing etc. the person it's for is completely useless with anything tech, it would take him an hour to restart softcam so can't have anything unstable.
See the H9T is around £65 but wanted something different if possible

Well I won't be ordering one of those then, I want something I can flash and setup easily, any recomendations for under 100, not H9 series
I think those particular edisions come with a preset image, that's maintained & updated by occasional updates, I have 2 os minis , they're ok, Do you not like H9?I was never keen on Zgemma , preferred solo 2.I got a H9 2H yesterday & was pleasantly surprised, easy setup , quick response,

just looking at one now in the other place...looks ok to me, i'll see what he says, £79 inc single dvb/c tuner
Cracking spec box for the money and a duel cable tuner option for under a £100 and 2 years warranty,You will not even buy 2 cable tuners for that price on some boxes and a nice feature is the pvr sensor so box can be hid away .Full support for the usual firmware and enigma 2, No brainer really for that price and i am not a zgemma fan but that is because i have used many other boxes vix supported as am a vix fan (y)

I've just text him now, he may as well have the dual cable tuner for an extra tenner but I'll see what he says

Couple of bob and you can get a usb flash drive for recording and all under £100 can not go wrong (y)(y)(y) Can see a few of these going for sale so will have to ask steff the owner for a brucey bonus (n) will be the answer

He's got a 32gb usb but unlikely to record much more than a few rugby matches here and there, but his mrs might fill that up with emmerdale farm and coronation street

Does that gigablue twin dvb-c option require 2 feeds or is it split internally ? Was having a look at this box this morning
